About Stellula
Throughout history, the hummingbird has been a symbol of grace, beauty, perseverance , and wonder. In particular, the Stellula hummingbird has been an inspirational representation of my life and my journey. With its distinctly vibrant colors, and the unique ability to fly in all directions, including backwards, it reminds me of how we are able to look back on our past, and reflect on events and memories in our lives, yet still instinctively move forward, taking in the sweetness of each new flower.
When I was 14, my Mom tragically passed away in a car accident. She was my best friend and everything I aspired to be as a woman. Her smile was contagious and she had a huge personality. Her craftiness, creativity, and God given ability to make something out of nothing, had always inspired me.
My husband Derek and I got married in 2012, and soon after, we welcomed our son Max into the world. After years of making jewelry for myself, friends and family began to request pieces for themselves! Being a stay at home mom allowed me the opportunity to pursue my hobby of making jewelry. With the support of my husband and all of my family and friends, what started as a hobby, selling feather earrings at local reggae concerts, grew into a fruitful, yet humbling, small business.
Within the last few years, thanks to new friendships, blooming relationships, a local boutique, and people like you, my dream has become reality. Not only am I loving what I do everyday, I am blessed with the opportunity to hopefully put a smile on someone’s face!
All of my pieces are hand made and designed, with LOVE, by me.
Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever.
